Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, basil, salt, black pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Rub the chicken thighs with olive oil, then coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  7. Sprinkle the minced garlic around the chicken and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Freshly grated Parmesan adds the best flavor and creates a light golden crust.
  • Avoid overcrowding the skillet so the chicken browns evenly.
  • Marinate the chicken with the seasonings and olive oil for 30 minutes for even more flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Serve with roasted potatoes, pasta, rice, garlic bread, or a fresh Caesar salad.
