  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced onion
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion slices
  • Cheese slices optional
  • Pickles optional

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix until just combined without overmixing.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties about ½ inch thick.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. If using cheese, place a slice on each burger during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Lightly toast the hamburger buns if desired.
  8. Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your favorite condiments.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Ground chicken is soft, so chilling the patties for 15 minutes before cooking helps them hold their shape.
  • Avoid pressing down on the burgers while cooking to keep them juicy.
  • Add chopped parsley or shredded Parmesan for extra flavor.
  • Store leftover patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • Serve with fries, roasted potatoes, coleslaw, or a fresh salad.
