Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. If they are thick, pound them to an even thickness.
In a small bowl, combine the Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the chicken breasts with olive oil and coat both sides evenly with the seasoning mixture.
Heat an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic, then cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Spoon the marinara sauce around and over the chicken breasts.
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over each chicken breast, then top with the Parmesan cheese.
Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
